Yorkshire Dales Sailing Club at Grimwith Reservoir (east of Grassington).
Offer day courses during the summer as part of the Groups of Youth Boating in Education (GYBE) scheme.  Booking recommended.

Facilities

If you feel like you have a few basic skills now and just want to pay to use equipment and have a further play try these. You may have to demonstrate that you are of a certain standard for insurance reasons.

Doe Park Watersports Centre, at Denholme, has “pay and play” sessions throughout the summer months.  May- Oct: Wed 6-9pm Sat 10am-1pm

Clubs

If you feel like you want to take up the activity and make new friends try one of the local clubs or societies below. Clubs allow you to share transport and sometimes equipment, which can make the activity cheaper.

Have a look at their websites and get in touch with the club secretary to introduce yourself if you fancy looking around or attending a session.

Craven Sailing Club at Embsay reservoir, Nr Skipton
Includes a junior section and are happy to welcome beginners.

Denholme Sailing Club based at Doe Park.

Yeadon Sailing Club is based at Yeadon Tarn not far from Leeds/Bradford airport. This small friendly club welcomes beginners and holds introductory sessions on Tuesday evenings.
These sessions are open to all and you just need to turn up at the Tarn. A map of how to get there is on their website.
