Sustainable tourism
Green tourism, responsible tourism, sustainable tourism - whichever of these terms you want to use - is tourism which takes into account the needs of the environment, local residents, businesses, and visitors; now and in the future.
In these pages you can find details of the free to join Dales Tourism Business Network, some case studies of local businesses with inspiring ideas, the Distinctly Dales project, and the range of support offered by the National Park Authority for tourism businesses.
You can contact the Sustainable Tourism Officer, by calling 0300 456 0030 or emailing sustainable.tourism@yorkshiredales.org.uk to talk about how we can help you.
If you are a business on the fringes or within the Yorkshire Dales National Park or Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Beauty, you could win £100 and help us plan our next tourism strategy and action plan by taking our survey.
The survey will be active from Tuesday, 6 March until Saturday, 31 March. All completed surveys will get entered into the £100 prize draw on 2 April 2012.
Sorry to interrupt, but what do you think of this website?
You could win a luxury picnic hamper packed to the brim with delicious local produce that you could enjoy in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. All you have to do is fill in our quick survey.
