Renewable energy
Renewable energy technologies, like ground source heat pumps and biomass heaters, offer an alternative to fossil fuels and can help reduce CO2 emissions.

The Energy Savings Trust has comprehensive information on the technologies available or a fact sheet is available on how to obtain further information on energy saving and renewable energy in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
The Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority has produced a document called 'A Guide to Energy Production in the Yorkshire Dales National Park' . It is intended to be a useful guide and reference document for those interested in sustainable energy production.
