Cosh Farm is an extremely isolated house about two miles from the nearest settlement, Foxup, itself a remote place. Cosh Farm lies within Littondale Barns and Walls Conservation Area and open access land. The site has no connections to mains services.

The 18 metre, 6Kw wind turbine provides a source of renewable energy and has reduced the need for a noisy generator in an otherwise quiet landscape. The landscape impact of the turbine is lessened by its hillside backdrop and does not project above the skyline. The turbine negates the need for the introduction of unsightly overhead lines.
