Long Preston

The name gives you a clue about the nature of this village. It’s a linear village which extends along the A65. Away from the traffic this is a pleasant Dales village with an extensive village green and pub.

Like Hellifield, Long Preston is a good starting point for a choice of walks and cycle rides, with paths leading northwards onto Langber Lane towards Settle, Otterburn and Malhamdale. Cyclists can easily access some pleasant, quiet roads into Upper Ribblesdale and the Forest of Bowland.
